Say 'Thank You' For Growing Your Business
When was the last time you thanked your customers for the business you have received from them? I am not talking about the last line that you include as a ritual at the end of your emails. I am talking about a dedicated act of thanking your customers because they have given you a business.
Some of us may be displaying gratitude through our actions all the time. Being humble while conversing with customers, doing something extra for the customers, going the extra mile to support our customers, and doing marketing campaigns during thanksgiving are all good things. But they don't amount to a verbal 'thank you' in person.
We can't say it enough, but we truly appreciate our customers. They are the reason we are in business and we are so grateful for their support. Every business owner understands this. Despite that many fail to connect and thank the customer personally. I am again reiterating that the 'thank you' here is not the one that you say once you bag the order, or after realizing the payment or receiving an appreciation for your work. This is a 'thank you' that you say explicitly in person to your customers for the opportunity they have given you to serve you.
A survey of 1,000 US consumers by TD Banks highlighted that 84% of people still prefer an in-person thank you, even in the digital age. This just goes to show that the personal touch still matters and that people appreciate being appreciated. It's no secret that customer satisfaction is the key to any successful business, but what might surprise you is just how much of an impact a simple 'thank you' can have.
If it's been a while, then now is the perfect time to reach out and express your gratitude. There are so many ways to say 'thank you' and it doesn't have to be complicated or expensive. It could be a handwritten note, a phone call, or even a small gift. Taking the time to say 'thank you' will go a long way in building strong relationships with your customers.
Your customers need to feel that you are appreciative of their business from the bottom of your heart and you couldn't sustain without them. A simple 'thank you' from you will just do that.
